MRRR & HS Achieves Major Milestone: Organogram Validation Workshop Successfully Conducted

The Ministry for Reconstruction, Rehabilitation, Reintegration and Humanitarian Services has achieved another major milestone in its institutional reform journey. Following the comprehensive Yankari Technical Retreat, where mandates, functions, and structural gaps were rigorously analysed, the Ministry has now successfully concluded the Organogram Validation Workshop (9th December, 2025 at Maidugu Rockview Hotel) — the second and decisive stage in refining a fit-for-purpose structure for the Ministry.

The workshop brought together representatives from Establishment, Civil Service Comission, partners, and humanitarian actors to validate the proposed mandates, departmental design, reporting lines, and staffing framework in alignment with Public Service Rules. This process ensures that the Ministry’s evolving responsibilities are matched with a modern, coherent, and operationally effective structure.

In his remarks, the Honourable Commissioner reaffirmed the Ministry’s commitment to building a more efficient, coordinated, and people-centered institution capable of meeting Adamawa State’s recovery and humanitarian needs. He expressed sincere appreciation to the Norwegian Refugee Council (NRC) for its consistent technical partnership, and specifically acknowledged the seconded Institutional Strengthening Advisor whose expertise has been central from the Yankari retreat through the validation phase.

With validation completed, the next step is the formal submission of the revised structure to the Establishment Department for endorsement and approval. This milestone signals continued progress toward a stronger and more responsive Ministry dedicated to meeting the humanitarian and resilience needs of Adamawa State.

This milestone marks meaningful progress toward a stronger, more responsive Ministry capable of meeting the humanitarian and resilience needs of Adamawa State.
